当前几乎所有的 锂聚合物电池都含有一定量的镍材料，镍材料是具有一定磁性的； GMB 已经开始在国内同一批工程师合作共同研发首款完全无磁性的锂离子电池， 通过使用新材料和铜极耳。
该类电池将被用于对磁性敏感的设备上，如磁力计和用于RMI 房间的设备等。
